Coastal Inundation

Eonfusion provides a unique set of algorithms to simulate the process of coastal inundation resulting from sea level rise. Unlike the traditional 'bath-tub' approach to sea level rise assessment, Eonfusion utilizes the topological structure of digital elevation models to determine where and when water will inundate to provide an accurate assessment of the inundation process. By utilizing raster data sources and optimized processing algorithms the inundation toolkit can rapidly generate inundation scenarios across spatial scales of several hundred km2.

The inundation toolkit allows the user to define the location and connectivity of network infrastructure, such as storm water and sewer pipes, and assess their influence on the inundation process. The incorporation of infrastructure can have significant impacts on the spatial extent, location and timing of the inundation process.
