Video: Multiple Track Analysis and Visualization

This video contains an example of Eonfusion's capabilities for analysis and visualization of multiple-track data sets.

The main data set consists of a day's worth of vessel track data into and out of the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.

  • The tracks are visualized in time.
  • A proximity analysis reveals nearest-neighbor relationships.
  • A relationship analysis provides symbology for short, medium and long term nearest neighbor connections.
  • Kernel Density Estimation is used to approximate "normal" behavior and highlight deviations from the normal.
  • Vessel data is fused with a vessel information database, bathymetry data and tide charts.
  • The vessel information database provides vessel type classification.
  • Bathymetry, tide, vessel position and vessel draft information provide a dynamic estimate of keel clearance.

A smaller, separate video is included in the download, detailing how Eonfusion's dataflow environment and multiple layers of extensibility were used to create this example.

There are two downloads below: they contain two videos in either .wmv (Windows Media) or .mov (Apple Quicktime) format.
