Eonfusion 2.2 Released

April 19 2011

Eonfusion version 2.2 is now complete and upgrades are being distributed. Existing Eonfusion license-holders will be contacted by our Support team with upgrade details during the coming weeks.

The new features in version 2.2 include very important extensions of Eonfusion's core functionalities. Here's a summary of the new additions:

  • The Link Raster Window operator has been extended to include raster vertices. Now you can link to either neighboring raster cells or neighboring raster vertices.
  • Eonfusion now uses 64-bit list indexing, allowing access to much larger data sets.
  • The Intersect Vector Sets operator now performs the intersection operation across feature dimensions. This means, for example, that surface features can now be intersected with line features such as road or river networks.
  • The set of data writers in Eonfusion now includes a Raster Writer, which writes raster data to an LZW-compressed GeoTIFF file.
  • The memory footprint of rendering tile buffers has been reduced. This allows for visualization of larger datasets, particularly for large scenes in the 32-bit edition of Eonfusion.
